How to Check a PikoBuy Product Link Before You Order

A product link is an address to investigate, not a promise that the item, option or price is still available.

Reading time: 8 minutes · Live-listing verification guide.

A link reduces ambiguity, but does not remove it

A direct marketplace link is generally better than a vague product name because it gives the purchasing workflow a specific starting point. Yet the listing can change after a spreadsheet or social post was created. A seller may update the price, remove an option, change photographs, alter the size chart or run out of stock. Open the live page before you rely on any saved description.

Record the source marketplace, seller name or shop identity where visible, exact product title, selected variant, size or model, listed condition, stated price and quantity. Take a screenshot of the important information. This is not busywork: it makes it possible to explain what you intended to purchase if a question arises later.

Check the selected option, not only the headline

Many listings cover several colours, grades, bundles or size ranges under one title. The headline may remain unchanged while the selected option changes the price, materials, included accessories or compatibility. Expand the relevant option menus and make sure the choice you intend to buy is actually selected before you copy or submit the link.

Read images and written specifications together. Images can show visual style, while the description may disclose a material, size range, version, shipping condition or limitation. Where the description and image conflict, pause and seek clarification rather than choosing the interpretation you prefer.

Look for decision-critical missing facts

The facts that deserve attention depend on the category. Apparel needs measurements, material details and the selected colour or cut. Footwear needs a size system, a measurement reference and condition. Electronics need a model number, plug or voltage, connector information, accessories and condition. Home goods and bulky items need dimensions and a realistic view of shipping impact.

If a fact changes whether you would buy the item, treat it as a required answer. Do not let an attractive image substitute for a missing compatibility, sizing or condition detail. A purchasing workflow can help ask a question, but it cannot turn an unclear specification into a clear one without evidence.

Use screenshots and a compact order record

Listings are dynamic. Save the page view that shows the selected option, price and essential details, plus any size or specification chart. Keep these files with the link rather than depending on a browser tab remaining open. If the price or option changes, you can compare the live situation with what you originally intended.

A compact order record might include the link, seller or shop, exact variation, price limit, required accessories, important measurement, acceptable substitute and deal-breaker. It makes a sourcing request or follow-up question much more precise. It also helps you evaluate warehouse photos later because you know exactly what you meant to order.

Be careful with source and safety signals

A familiar-looking listing or a shared link is not a guarantee about a seller, product quality, stock, legal importability or total cost. Check the current marketplace page and use your own judgement. Avoid sending money or personal information through unofficial channels. When using a discovery site, treat it as a research layer and confirm the current listing yourself.

If the source page redirects unexpectedly, is unavailable or changes to an unrelated product, remove it from the shortlist. Do not assume an old identifier points to the same item. A broken or changed link is useful information: it tells you the evidence needs refreshing.

Move from link check to warehouse check

Once the live listing and selected variant are clear, the next evidence stage is the warehouse arrival. Compare the visible item and any inspection photos with the screenshot and order note you saved. Check the exact colour or model, size marking, count of accessories and visible condition. Request a focused additional image only when it resolves a material question.

This gives the workflow a clean logic: discover, verify the current listing, define the exact choice, inspect visible arrival evidence, then compare shipping options with actual parcel data. Each step supports the next without pretending that a product link alone settles every decision.

Link ruleSave the live listing and exact selected option before purchase. A shared URL is a starting point; the current listing is the evidence.

The one-sentence test

Before you proceed, try to describe the proposed purchase in one sentence: “This is the [exact item], in [selected variant and size], from [current listing], at or below [item-stage limit], with [required accessory or specification].” If that sentence is not clear, keep researching.
